What are the Application Requirements?
There are two options for any foreign individual wanting to relocate to North Macedonia.
However, both options require a rather hefty investment - either EUR 200,000 or EUR 400,000.
Option 1: EUR 200,000
This monetary payment must be invested in a private fund following the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia over a two-year period per applicant.
Option 2: EUR 400,000
This monetary payment option must be invested in any new facility in North Macedonia (excluding those in the hospitality industry) employing a minimum of 10 people for at least one year.
The following documents are required for this process:
- Curriculum vitae (CV) in detail
- Proof of financial standing
- Police certificates and records
The Process Broken Down Applicants must complete the application in entirety and accompany the application with the needed fees and supporting documentation. These include:
- Birth/marriage certificates
- Signed prospectus
- Share redemption documentation of a government-approved fund.
After the Fund of Innovations and Technology Development of the Republic of North Macedonia receives these, applicants should expect this process to occur in this order:
- Due diligence checks completed
- Client agreement signed/retainer paid
- Requirements fulfilled
- Application for North Macedonian citizenship submitted
- Application approved
- Full citizenship received
